ABOUT: Nahid Ahmed is the founder and executive chef at Luthun, a progressive American eatery in the East Village. Originally from England, Chef Nahid spent his early years traveling around the world and embracing his Indian Bengali heritage. Believing that food should create a lasting memory, his cuisine reflects these international travels and focuses on bringing his diners on a surprise and delight journey to the places that informed his childhood. An avid soccer player, Chef Nahid got into cooking when a career-ending injury sent him home. At the time, Nahid was unsure of what the next phase of his life would bring and he ended up following a few close friends to cooking school. A graduate of the ICI International Culinary School in Switzerland, he went on to spend time in many notable kitchens around the world including Lespinasse, The Fat Duck, El Bulli, Phillip Rochard, and Cafe Gray. 


WHAT: Join us on location at Luthun, the Michelin-starred East Village gem where Chef-Owner Nahid Ahmed leads us into his kitchen to prepare his boundary-pushing, globally inspired cuisine grounded in fine-dining technique, followed by a multi-course lunch with paired wines.
