Corporate Teambuilding & Private Events  

The world-renowned De Gustibus Cooking School by Miele — which partnered with Cooking by the Book (CBTB) in 2023 — hosts both corporate and private events that educate, inspire, and entertain. Corporations come to us for impactful teambuilding experiences. Individuals come for private events: birthdays, bachelorette parties, or cooking parties. Our key feature is the hands-on program. Every event is fully hands-on. You come into the kitchen, our culinary experts guide the preparation of every dish and demonstrate skills and techniques to help you elevate your cooking at home. Teams dine on their own creations.

Hands-on Classes

Perfect for corporate team building.

Guests:  12 people minimum to 40 maximum 

Event Duration: 3 hours

  • Event begins with hors d’oeuvres and sparkling wine 
  • Your host will introduce the evening’s culinary advisors and review the evening’s program 
  • Class broken into smaller groups, each preparing a course to be served 
  • Your 3-course meal will be served with paired white and red wines along with bottled S.Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water and/or Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water 
  • Aprons are provided; personalized aprons are optional and an additional cost 
  • Fun, entertaining, educational, and interactive event

Chef Demonstrations/Classes (In-House & Virtual)

A celebrated New York chef will demonstrate and serve a multi-course menu. 

Guests: Can currently accommodate up to 48 guests with classroom style seating 

Event Duration: Up to 2 1/2 hours

  • Event begins with passed hors d’oeuvres served with sparkling wine as guests mingle throughout the kitchen and culinary space
  • 3-course menu is served with white and red wine pairings, and bottled S.Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water and Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water
  • Guests savor each dish while the chef demonstrates each recipe, and are able to ask questions while the class is moderated by owner Sal Rizzo 
  • Customized recipe booklet for guests to follow during the demonstration, which includes offers from our various partners 
  • Post demonstration guests are able to have a meet & greet with the chef(s)

Wine Tastings (In-House & Virtual)

Noted wine professional will tailor a customized tasting for your guests.

Guests: Can currently accommodate up to 48 guests with classroom style seating.

Event Duration: Up to 2 hours 

  • A fun way to learn the fundamentals of wines: We’ll go over judging color, aroma, flavor, body and finish 
  • Flesh out your vocabulary so you can judge if wines are dry, tannic, flabby, austere, fruit bomb, vegetal etc. 
  • Bottled still and sparkling waters provided by S.Pellegrino® Sparkling Natural Mineral Water and Acqua Panna® Natural Spring Water 
  • Customized tasting booklet for guests to follow during the demonstration, which includes offers from our various partners

PRICING & FEES:

All events are customized and pricing varies based on the amount of guests, chef fee, add-ons (i.e. linens, gift bags, flowers), type of event, etc. Upon finalizing the event details a non-refundable 50% deposit must be paid in full to secure the date. The balance is due 7 days prior when the confirmed number of attendees is given.  Should you need to change the date of the event, we ask for 14 days notice to find an alternate date that is mutually agreeable.
