WHO: Ed Cotton is the chef-partner Jack & Charlie’s No.118 in the West Village and Leonetta in Murray Hill.
ABOUT: After graduating from the Culinary Institute of America in 1998, Cotton worked with a veritable who’s who of culinary icons including Barbara Lynch, Daniel Boulud, Laurent Tourondel, David Burke, and Todd English. He spent six seasons as Cat Cora’s sous chef on Iron Chef America, competed on Season 7 of Top Chef—where he finished runner-up—and beat Bobby Flay on Beat Bobby Flay with a humble but killer turkey cacciatore.
Today, his culinary storytelling takes shape at Jack & Charlie’s No.118, a sultry homage to New York’s classic supper clubs. Tucked into a historic stretch of Greenwich Avenue, the space, which opened in 2021, channels speakeasy elegance. The menu leans New American, anchored by seafood, house-made pasta, and steaks prepared in a wood-burning oven.
A few miles uptown, Leonetta, Cotton’s 2024 project, brings a breezier charm to Manhattan’s Murray Hill. Underneath Leonetta lives Leo’s Famous, a massive cocktail bar and lounge.
WHAT: Join us for a hands-on cooking class hosted by Chef Ed Cotton inside his newest venture, Leonetta. We’ll prepare dishes — alongside chef and his kitchen team — inspired by the diverse and bold flavors of the Mediterranean coastline. The class concludes with a delightful lunch featuring expertly paired wines.
WHEN: Saturday, November 8, 9AM - 1PM EST
