WHO: Travis Sowards is the current executive chef at Temple Court & The Bar Room at the Beekman Hotel.
ABOUT: Sowards moved to New York from Florida in 2011 to pursue a career in cooking after completing his bachelor’s degree at University of Florida. Shortly after arriving, he was encouraged to stage at Craft, Chef Tom Colicchio’s flagship restaurant. He spent over four years there, moved on to Colicchio & Sons and eventually helped open Temple Court in the Beekman Hotel. In 2022, he was named Executive Chef of Temple Court.
