De Gustibus Gives Back: Charitable Events
De Gustibus Cooking School has been hosting special events that benefit philanthropic organizations since 2009. We work with chefs to create classes that benefit their preferred charities.
We allocate a portion of the ticket sales to benefit the charity, as well as working with the chef and their team in securing items from various partners and sponsors to auction off — to increase the total donation value. In 2019, for example, to support The Food Dreams Foundation (a non-profit organization), we worked with Chef Jean-Georges Vongerichten and his son Chef Cedric and daughter Louise Ulukaya, who runs the foundation. Since we began our philanthropic mission, De Gustibus has raised over $80,000 for numerous charities (see list below).
Below is a chronological list of the philanthropic events we’ve hosted, the chefs involved, and the charities that benefitted.
If you are interested in hosting a class that benefits your charity at De Gustibus Cooking School, contact Owner-CEO Sal Rizzo at sal@degustibusnyc.com or call 212-239-1652.
