WHO: Max Green is the bar director for the Hospitality Department and Bronze Owl; Franklin Becker is founder and chef-partner at both.
ABOUT: A New York native, Max Green has over 15 years of experience in the hospitality industry. He was the head bartender of Amor y Amargo, which made it onto Tales of the Cocktail's "Top 4 Bars" and "World's 50 Best Bars" lists — multiple times. In 2018, he opened Blue Quarter, his own speakeasy-style cocktail bar in the East Village. From 2017-2020 he consulted with Marriott International, implementing bar programs at luxury properties on multiple continents.
Franklin Becker co-founded and serves as chef-partner of the Hospitality Department, which includes Point Seven (located in the iconic MetLife Building), Bento by Point Seven, Coral Omakase, The Martinique Hotel, The Bronze Owl, The Press Club Grill, and soon to come, Sweet Graffiti. With a distinguished career spanning acclaimed kitchens nationwide, Becker's culinary journey includes pivotal roles such as co-founding partner and chief culinary officer of Hungryroot, and co-founder/chef of Little Beet and Little Beet Table. He also served as culinary director for Aurify brands. Previously, Becker served as corporate executive chef at the EMM Group, overseeing venues like Abe & Arthurs and Catch. His career highlights also feature roles with Starr Restaurant Group, Grand Hospitality, and Capitale.
Recognized for his culinary artistry, Becker has received accolades from New York Magazine and The New York Times’ esteemed critics who praised his "talent for delivering big, punchy flavors." His tenure at Capitale earned the #1 spot on Esquire’s "Best New Restaurant in America" list. Becker has also appeared on shows like Bravo’s Top Chef Masters, Iron Chef America, The Today Show, Dr. Oz, The Rachael Ray Show, and as a judge on Beat Bobby Flay. He is an author of three cookbooks: Eat & Beat Diabetes, The Diabetic Chef, and the latest, Good Fat Cooking.
