WHO: Chef-restaurateur Joey Baldino,known for his deeply traditional Italian cooking, owns Zeppoli in Collingswood, New Jersey and Palizzi Social Clubin South Philadelphia.
ABOUT: Baldino is an eight-time James Beard Award semifinalist, and, in 2017, Bon Appetit ranked Palizzi Social Club the #4 restaurant in the United States. He honed his skills at Vetri Cucina and Osteria, apprenticed with Alice Waters at Chez Panisse, worked at Ana Tasca Lanza’s farm in Sicily, and cooked at Daniel.
