WHO: Fernando Navas is the founder and executive chef of Balvanera restaurants.
ABOUT: After working in great kitchens around the world including the legendary El Bulli, Nobu, and SushiSamba, Navas opened his own restaurant, Balvanera, on Manhattan's Lower East Side. His Argentinian cuisine has earned the love and support of guests and reviews in The New Yorker, Forbes, and Vogue (among others), culminating in his recent honor of being named the Official Culinary Ambassador of Argentina. He is preparing to open his second Balvanera location, in Pittsburgh, in fall 2023.
