Anthony Giglio - Tenuta di Arceno

WHO: Anthony Giglio is a wine expert who uses storytelling to motivate countless imbibers to trust their own tastes and relax the rules. His witty, unpretentious style has garnered him speaking engagements around the world at numerous events, festivals and auctions.

ABOUT: Giglio has taught over 16 classes at De Gustibus. He’s currently wine director for the American Express Centurion Global Lounge Networks, wine reporter for CBS News Radio, contributing editor to Food & Wine Magazine, and the author of 11 books on wine, cocktails, and travel. 

WHAT: Giglio will hosting an evening where we taste the wines of Tenuta di Arceno (in the esteemed Chianti Classico region of Tuscany) with amazing food pairings from le nonne (the grandmothers), including his mom (Rosemarie Giglio), his mother-in-law (Lucia LoPresti) and Authentic Explorations' founder-CEO Gary Portuesi's mom (Maria Portuesi)!

Tenuta di Arceno is located in the Chianti Classico region of Tuscany, in the southernmost commune of Castelnuovo Berardenga, bordered by the ancient walled town of San Gusmè. Tenuta di Arceno produces two expressions of wine guided by the diverse terroir of the estate. The first collection includes three DOCG wines: Chianti Classico, Chianti Classico Riserva and Chianti Classico Gran Selezione - Strada al Sasso. The second is three IGT Toscana wines based on international varietals: il fauno, Valadorna and Arcanum. All six wines are a true reflection of their terroir and are 100% estate-grown and bottled.
