CHEF BIO:
Raised in Illinois, Ryan Barlow studied at Kendall College of Culinary Arts and Hospitality Management in Chicago. After graduating, Ryan followed his love of Spanish cooking and spent the next two years working at three Michelin-starred Akelarre in San Sebastian. Afterward, he returned to Chicago where he was pastry assistant to Alex Stupak at Alinea. Next, he moved to New York and joined the Frankie’s Spuntino restaurant group. Following that, Ryan became executive chef at Quality Eats and then Frenchette. Inspired by his time in Spain, in 2020 he opened his own place, the critically acclaimed Ernesto’s restaurant and bar — bringing Basque cuisine to Manhattan.
