WHO: David Burke Hospitality's David Burke
ABOUT: At age 26, Burke’s kitchen mastery won him the executive chef position at the legendary River Café (3 stars from The New York Times). While there, he became the first American ever to win the prestigious Meilleurs Ouvriers de France Diplome d’Honneur. His name has also been added to the James Beard Foundation Who’s Who in Culinary Arts. At last count, he had 17 restaurants around the country (and one in Saudi Arabia). David Burke Tavern is the flagship modern American restaurant situated on two stories of a stately townhouse on New York City’s Upper East Side. A natural entertainer, he’s appeared on Top Chef, among other shows, and recently spoke at TEDx Asbury Park. His cookbooks include Cooking with David Burke and David Burke’s Updated American Classics.
WHAT: Burke will showcase a globally inspired menu from their various restaurant concepts including Asian, Latin, and New American dishes.
