WHO: Wine expert Anthony Giglioand chef Claude Godard.
ABOUT: Giglio has taught over 16 classes at De Gustibus. He’s currently wine director for the American Express Centurion Global Lounge Networks, wine reporter for CBS News Radio, contributing editor to Food & Wine Magazine, and the author of 11 books on wine, cocktails, and travel. Godard has worked with some of Paris’ most renowned chefs, including Alain Dutournier and Jean-Pierre Vigato, and in some of Paris’ most renowned restaurants, including Lasserre — and in Burgundy alongside his father in their Michelin star-rated family restaurant, Restaurant Godard. In 2003, he joined the Maitres Cuisiniers de France, and in 2010 he opened up Jeanne & Gaston in New York (named “Best French Bistro” by Zagat).
WHAT: Giglio will guide us through the wines of the Savoie (in the Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes region, SoutheasternFrance). Chef Godard will demonstrate how to make the perfect, classic French dishes to pair with these wines.
