WHO: Adam Schop is chef-owner of Steak Frites Bistro, Lovely’s Old Fashioned, & Zillions Pizza.
ABOUT: Schop honed his French techniques as chef de cuisine at the renowned Zinc Bistro in Phoenix, worked as executive chef at DeLaCosta alongside James Beard Award-winning Chef Douglas Rodriguez, and opened Pan-Latin restaurant Nuela as executive chef — for which he was named StarChefs.com “New York Rising Star Chef.” Restaurateur Stephen Starr chose Chef Schop to be executive chef at his D.C. brasserie Le Diplomate. As director of operations for the world-famous Miss Lily’s, he opened outposts in the East Village, Negril, Jamaica, and Dubai, UAE. He plans to open a dive bar called Local 42 in September.
