We’ve lined up three authorities on Japanese cuisine to prepare and explain the food served at a traditional Izakaya meal — small dishes designed to accompany drinks. The supergroup includes restaurateur Bon Yagi (who’s run 13 Japanese eateries in New York since the 1970s), Sakagura East Village executive chef Kajihara Masaru, and tea and sweets expert Tomoko Yagi. The evening will include pairings with renowned sakes.
